NCTU国立交通大学
NCTU国立交通大学自四十七年六月奉准在台复校，初设电子研究所，时仅招收硕士班研究生二十名，位于市郊名胜十八尖山下博爱街，请见博爱校区配置图。乃先于博爱街征收土地三公顷，以校友会捐款及美援经费补助，兴建第一栋校舍，及今日博爱校区内为纪念凌前校长鸿勋先生而命名之“竹铭馆”，此馆初建面积仅七百余坪，不仅为教学研究之场地，亦为办公与员生住宿之处，至四十九年始添建小型图书馆一座，可以想见当时筚路蓝缕，艰难创建情形。
